Water Efficient Heads

'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.

     Water efficient heads/nozzles are kind of new to the irrigation scene.  They, like drip irrigation, have and are becoming more popular due to the water restrictions being placed on southern California's. We install and recommend two different types that Rainbird offers.  These can be used in the lawn areas and also on bank applications.

U-Series Nozzles:

* Dual orifice spray nozzles use 30% less water compared to standard nozzles.

* Dual orifice allows for close in watering to help minimize dry spots under the head.

* Spacing: 5' to 15'

Rotary Nozzles:

* Rotary nozzles use 60% less water than convential spray nozzles.

* Rotary nozzles allow for more heads per zone, reducing cost.

* Low precipitation rate which reduces water runoff and erosion.

* Spacing: 13' to 18' or 17' to 24'

These nozzles fit into the 1800 series line of heads.  For increase performance, you can also use the 1800 series heads with an internal pressure regulator and check valve to allow the heads to operate at their proper pressure and stop water flow (keep water in pipes) when the system shuts off. This saves water, runoff, erosion and money.
