A little bit about myself. I've lived in San Diego County since 1976, except for 4 years living in Orange County, California. As a teenager, I worked with my dad, a licensed landscape contractor for about 4 years, then I managed my dad's irrigation supply company for a couple of years. I joined the U.S. Navy and spent over 10 years working on Navy Fighters (F-14's). I have a mechanical and electrical background. I have spent the last 8 years working on my own and family members homes performing home improvement and repair needs. I have been an amateur wood worker for about 14 years. In 2006, I decided to leave private aviation (full time) after 8 years of working on private jets. I started Tip Top Home Improvement Services to service customers who were looking for quality, honesty and reliability in their home improvement / repairs which included sprinkler systems, fences, decks, outdoor accent lighting and much more. I have enjoyed it so much, that I decided to get back into landscaping business with my dad in 2009. I run the business basically like my father taught me, be honest, take pride in your work, be on time and do what you say you are going to do!

I served in the U.S. Marines from 1964 and retired in 1984. I have lived in Oceanside since 1976. I started doing lawn maintenance and sprinkler repairs in l977 and my business grew to complete Landscape Installations. I was also a landscape designer and consultant. In 1983 my wife and I opened up a plant nursery and an two irrigation supply companies. I obtained my landscape contractors license in 1988 and have been a Landscape Contractor for the last 12 years. I continued to perform landscaping on a smaller scale also assisting my son, Mark, on many landscaping jobs and projects. I also obtained my Real Estate License in 1998 and my Real Estate Brokers License in 2006. I reaquired my landscape contractors license again in 2009 and became the RMO for Tip Top Landscaping Services.
